Your Main Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
  • Work alongside teachers to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning activities.
  • Provide one-to-one, small group, and whole-class support.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive attitudes to learning.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and adapt resources as needed.
  • Promote inclusion, wellbeing, and positive behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Monitor progress and share feedback to aid planning and assessment.
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development.
  • Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and school trips where required.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times.

About You : We are looking for someone who has:

  • A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and encourage learners.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet a variety of needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
