South East Schools Themed Book Awards 2017

'Fan Fiction'

Sackville is once again participating in the annual Schools Themed Book Awards.  This involves forming a reading group and joining with groups from other schools in the West Kent region to read five books on a short list appropriate to the students’ age; one for Key Stage 3 and one for Key Stage 4 students.  The books are selected on a theme, which this year is 'Fan Fiction'with titles that students would not necessarily have previously encountered.

Students have until the end of February to read the books before casting a vote for their favourite.  Votes from all the participating schools will be added together and the winners of the two categories announced at an award ceremony which includes an entertaining programme of student- made film trailers and talks from popular authors.  Copies of the books, listed below, are available from the school library and anyone interested in joining the reading group should see Mrs Morrison.
