'The Sixth Form at Sackville School is a strong community that look out for each other. Although we are a small Sixth Form we show determination in all that we do and the strong sense of community helps us to become great friends. This spirit means we work hard at school and have fun socialising together at weekends'.

To study A'Levels at Sackville a student needs to gain at least 5 A-C grades with a minimum of a B grade (or an A to study Maths) in the subject to be followed in the Sixth Form.   However, this is not prescriptive and consideration will be given to a student who can demonstrate the ability and maturity to cope with the A'Level courses here.

At Sackville, the Sixth Form provides a high standard of tuition to A'Level in a friendly adult environment. The teaching groups are small (on average about 5 students) and each student's progress is overseen by a Sixth Form Tutor. Students in the Sixth Form are expected to take responsibility and to play a full part in the life of the school.  Great importance is attached to the relationship between students and teachers. Our pastoral care is excellent.  Sixth Formers work in a friendly, but work focused environment.

In addition we encourage the students to participate in the Young Enterprise Scheme, Duke of Edinburgh Award and become involved in Community Work both in school and in the local area.  A wide variety of sports and fitness training is available.  Personal and Social Education form important elements of the curriculum.

Sixth Formers leave Sackville as mature, confident students who have gained an excellent grounding for their life ahead.

Full details are available in the Sixth Form Booklet which can be downloaded (see below).
