Year 7 Religious Studies

Topic - Joining a community - We are looking at Christian christening and communion. Homework  - Write up a report on the visit to the church. Due in Friday 10th February

Year 9 Geography- Globalisation. In the lesson we looked at Indian call centres. From the work done in class rewrite and explain fully the story of why Dilip changes his name to David. Explain the advantages of using call centres for India and explain the disadvantages of call centres in India for the UK   Work due Tuesday 31st January.

Year 10 GCSE Philosophy & Ethics (Wednesday class) - Poverty & Wealth. We have looked at a brief introduction to the topic and a number of Old and New Testament quotes on wealth and money. Homework is to summarise what the quotes say about Christian ideas on money & explain the different points of view shown.

Year 10 Geography GCSE - Restless Earth  - Learn key words for test during Friday's lesson. Restless Earth - We completed the the four types of plate boundaries and examples of each. Homework - complete the GCSE question given out in class.

Year 11 GCSE Philosophy & Ethics (Thursday) - Good and Evil - Reasons for good and evil as given in the bible. No homework set this week except prepare for timed essay question on first Thursday back after half term (no lesson next week due to mocks)

Year 12 AS Philosophy & Ethics - Applied Ethics - "Abortion"

Tuesdays homework- Read through the information detailing different ethical approaches to abortion as discussed by Thompson, Marquis, Tooley et al. Prepare for an extended essay on Wednesday about these ethical ideas.

Wednesday - Research and bring in several different news stories about fertility treatment to discuss in Fridays lesson.

Year 12 Geography - Coastal Management.

Prepare a presentation on Trade Coasts, Resort Coasts, Resource Coasts or Residential Coasts. Be preapred for questions on your presentation for Thursday's lesson.

Thursday - Complete AS question. Due Monday 6th Feb.

Year 13 A2 Geography - Ecosystems. Homework Prepare a presentation on a given ecosystem (Rainforest or Grassland). Explain the different inputs & outputs, the trophic levels, and the parameters for the ecosystem. Conclude with man's influence on the ecosystem. Due Monday 6th Feb.
