Library

The Library is located at the heart of the school and is a hub at break and lunchtimes for students wishing to study or read for pleasure.  Book stocks are constantly updated providing for a wide range of interests and abilities and include audio books, quick reads and graphic novels; newspapers and magazines provide additional reading matter.  PCs with internet access are available for student use.

The library plays an active role in promoting literacy by organising events throughout the year.  Regular book fairs are held and a highlight is the annual Book Week with visits from high profile authors and various literary related activities.  Avid readers are catered for with the opportunity to participate in national and regional reading schemes: a group of students across all year groups thoroughly enjoy joining with students from schools across West Kent to choose their favourite reads.
