This year’s cohort of students carried on the school’s tradition of achieving strong results with the number of passes at A*-B rising to 57% which is 4% above the national rate.  The number of passes at A*-C rose for the second year running to 70%. Top scoring subjects were Maths, Economics, Psychology, Physics and Law.

Particular congratulations go to James Harrington and Merlin Parr who achieved A*ABB  and A*BB respectively and will be taking up places to study Economics at Bath University and Business Marketing at Newcastle University.

We are extremely proud of all our A- level and GCSE students who have achieved a fantastic set of results.  As a mixed ability school these results exceeded expectations in many cases and demonstrate the added value the school is able to give to students of different abilities through the small classes and quality of the teaching delivered at Sackville.  They are, of course, also directly attributable to the hard work, dedication and perseverance of the students themselves.

We look forward to welcoming Year 11 students back for Sixth Form study and wish our Year 13 students well are as we send them off to study at a range of top universities including Durham, Manchester and Royal Holloway. We wish all the students every success in the challenges they face as they progress to the next phase of their studies.
