Sackville School

Economics is offered as an A Level In the Sixth Form at Sackville. In common with all A level classes at Sackville, class size is small enabling individualised teaching and learning. In contrast to Business Studies in which students  study the internal workings of businesses, in Economics we examine the workings of businesses within markets and the whole macro economy.

2015's Economics group won the regional stage of the Bank of England's Target 2.0 competition where they presented to a panel from the Bank their recommendation of what should happen to interest rates and the Quantitative Easing programme. They then progressed to the Area Final in London. This helped them achieve B and A* grades at A level before progressing to study Economics at the universities of Leicester and Durham.

2016's Economics group also achieved A* and B grades at A level
