Sackville School

Students join Sackville from a number of schools within an area of approximately 20 miles from us.  We accommodate pupils through the Common Entrance Examination from a variety of prep schools in this area including; St Michaels, Hilden Grange, Solefield School, The New Beacon, Sevenoaks Prep, Hazelwood School, Yardley Court, Derwent Lodge, and Bickley Park.  We do have an intake of pupils each year who come to England from overseas.

Entry Procedure
If you would like to find out more about Sackville School, to receive a prospectus or to make an appointment to visit the school, please telephone Admissions on 01732 836401 or email

We welcome students to Sackville when we, and you the parents, are sure that Sackville is the right place for your child to be happy, learn, develop and flourish. We admit new students at various times but our main admissions are at the beginning of the academic years 7, 9 and 12.

All prospective pupils need to be registered before sitting an assessment and we recommend that you do this in advance. To register please complete and return the registration form at the back of the prospectus or complete a form on-line.  Please also forward to us the non-refundable registration fee of £100.  For year 7 entry we will contact you with details of the forthcoming assessments at the beginning of the Autumn Term prior to entry.

We offer Taster Day sessions for pupils who are interested in joining current year 7 and above.

Year 7
Entry Assessments are held in November each year, however, if a pupil is unable to attend then arrangements can be made for them to be taken at another time.  For 2018 entry this will take place on Saturday, 4th November.
Prospective pupils are assessed through our own tests based on Maths and English.

Year 9
Children from preparatory schools come to us via the Common Entrance examination, but we also ask them to sit our own assessment in the November prior to entry and for entry in 2017. Students from other schools sit our own entry assessment.

Year 12
Pre qualification requirements are: a minimum of 5 grade C or above GCSE passes and at least a grade B in the selected A-level subjects.  For Maths and Foreign Languages we look for an A* at GCSE level.
Students must pass our interview process prior to acceptance.

Other Stages and Mid-Year
We consider new students at all entry times and levels.  Each application is treated on its own merit and is subject to an interview, tests and a report as required.

As part of the admissions procedure all students must be interviewed by the Headmaster and we require references from their current and/or previous school.

Our main admissions are at the beginning of academic years 7, 9 and 12; however, we are adept at integrating new students at all entry times and levels
