Sackville School

Academics

As a mixed ability school we pride ourselves on the effectiveness of our individualised teaching which enables our students to fulfil their potential and proceed on to a range of pathways.  Our ongoing examinations successes have seen students take up places at Oxford and other Russell Group Universities whilst others pursue vocational courses at prestigious institutions like The London College of Fashion and Norwich University of the Arts.  Small teaching groups, on average 5 in each class, lead to strong teacher/student relationships which ensure students are motivated, challenged and make real progress.  Great emphasis is placed on effective tracking and monitoring of academic progress coupled with regular contact with parents.

The standard of care and encouragement from the teaching staff is exceptional; they nurture and care for each pupil as an individual and have the ability to draw out the best from each student.
